Miles Crook - Osteopath & Clinic Director

Introduction
Miles brings a warm touch to his osteopathic practice relating well to people from all walks of life. He developed his life-skills in a wide range of challenging jobs in a large organisation that dealt with people and businesses. His commitment to osteopathic training was evidenced by being awarded the unusual privilege of fast track access to osteopathic registration in January 2003 before gaining his first class degree. Initially Miles practiced in the UK and Eire. He then gained registration in New Zealand where he practiced for a couple of years before returning to set up practice in Hampshire. Miles is fascinated by the whole spectrum of osteopathy but has special interest in the powerful mind-body relationship and the impact of stress on wellbeing. He is also particularly interested in osteopathic approaches for neck injuries following car accidents, headaches and migraine, breathing mechanics and the involuntary (cranial osteopathic) mechanism. Miles frequently engages in post graduate training which has included medical acupuncture and the use of ultrasound therapy. He was one of a handful of osteopaths selected by the UK’s Appointment Commission in 2010 to sit as a professional osteopathic member on a statutory committee of the GOSc.
Lisa Ives - Osteopath

Introduction
After serving 13 years within HM Armed Forces and having played sport all her life, Lisa decided to change career paths and set up her own business, Alive & KIcking UK ™, which incorporated Personal Training, Sports Therapy and teaching Bodybalance ® group exercise classes.
After working with a variety of people, clubs and teams, which Lisa found very rewarding and highly inspirational, and in order to broaden her scope, she went on to study at the British School of Osteopathy in London where she gained a Masters in Osteopathy. She now runs 'Essential Health Therapies'.
Lisa's hobbies and interests are running half marathons, playing squash and horse riding as well as continuing to teach her classes. She holds a Diploma in Equine Therapies (EThPK) which incorporates aromotherapy,massage. hydrotherapy and kinesiology enabling her to treat both horse and rider.
All bodies, whether human or equine, have an in built healing mechanism and her aim is to influence this within all. Whether this is through relaxation or stimulation of tissues, her goal is to make your visits both positive and beneficial.
